Scottsdale murder victim's family still searching for answers 3 years later

Her parents still visit the home where she was killed almost every month from Minnesota.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Saturday marks three years since 31-year-old Allison Feldman was murdered inside her Scottsdale home. As the police department actively investigates leads, her family keeps looking for answers.

“I’d like him put away,” Allison’s father Harley said. “I’d like him caught, put in jail where he belongs, and it’s just wrong that he’s still out on his own doing what he wants to do and my daughter can never do that.”

The family, along with friends, neighbors and the Scottsdale Police Department will hold a vigil Saturday night at the Scottsdale Justice Center.

"It's a way to provide a little tribute to her … get more exposure on the case to see if anybody can remember something that they haven't thought about before … and to honor her," Harley said.

This week, two of Allison’s friends launched a crowdfunding campaign through the University of Arizona. They aim to raise $25,000 by March 16 to establish an endowment with the school. The fund would help students afford study abroad opportunities and carry on Allison’s legacy.

“It’s been rewarding to work on that and to make it public and to get it alive,” Harley said. “The money is starting to come in, and we hope to raise the money relatively quickly so we can start rewarding students the money to travel.”

Her parents still visit the home where she was killed almost every month from Minnesota. Harley meets with detectives each trip and focuses on two jobs: helping police find her killer and keeping her legacy alive.

Allison was an accomplished saleswoman, who always put others before herself, Harley said. She talked with her parents every day—sometimes more than once.

Harley said he thinks his daughter was targeted. Scottsdale Police found DNA evidence inside the home, but so far, haven’t been able to link it to a person. They’ve investigated “countless” leads.

“The investigation around the tragic and senseless death of Allison Feldman remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the police department said in a statement, asking for any tips to be reported.

Silent Witness is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of Feldman’s killer.
