PHOENIX — The cooler weather that busted into the state with gusty winds on Sunday will stick around for at least one more day. Phoenix "only" hit 85 degrees Sunday afternoon with a peak wind gust of 37 mph! Wind gusts across northern Arizona Sunday topped 60 mph.
The wind dies down a bit statewide overnight into Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, Valley temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 80s. The normal high in Phoenix is 91.
A slow warming trend will continue Tuesday through Friday as highs stay in the 90s. We have a chance at returning to triple-digit heat by the end of the weekend. The week ahead will be seasonably dry statewide.
