Temperatures back on the rise

Rebounding temperatures on Sunday will trend even hotter this week.

PHOENIX — Hopefully, you've taken advantage of the below normal temperatures recently. Starting Sunday afternoon, temperatures are back on the rise.

Look for near-normal valley highs in the upper 80s and high-country highs in the 60s and 70s. Flagstaff will rebound to 60 degrees on Sunday afternoon, under a partly sunny sky.

Expect the mercury to continue to climb throughout this week. Valley highs will jump from the lower 90s on Monday to the upper 90s by the end of the week. Flagstaff will flirt with 70 degrees on Tuesday.

Some lower desert spots will likely see the triple-digits again later this week. Next weekend will be the Phoenix Metro's best bet of reaching the century mark.
