Relief from the high heat is in sight but it comes at the premium of stronger winds.

As temperatures tone it down through the rest of the week, breezy southwest winds will get stirred up each afternoon.

Dry weather will hold for the Valley but in the mountain regions, some light showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible Thursday through Saturday.

Temperatures will turn back up again early next week.
