PHOENIX — A man was taken to a local hospital after a townhome caught fire in Phoenix Thursday night.
Firefighters said crews found heavy fire coming from the garage when they arrived at the home near Interstate 17 and Bell Road.
Crews rescued a man in the home who had suffered burns and inhaled some smoke. His condition is unknown at this time, firefighters said.
There were no injuries to firefighters as they worked to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. It is believed to have started in the garage.
