PHOENIX — Update: Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix will reopen its emergency department at 10 a.m. Monday for all walk-in patients and ambulatory needs.
The emergency department at Banner-University Medical Center in Phoenix was closed through the weekend because of a flooding incident on Friday.
The hospital said a pipe burst caused the flooding. The water coming from the pipe was clean.
Walk-in patients won't be turned away and will be cared for in a different part of the hospital until repairs are made.
The trauma center is still open.
Hospital officials said they will provide an update on the situation on Monday.
