Body discovered wrapped in tarp identified as Kingman man

MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — The Mohave County Sheriff's Office has identified human remains found wrapped in a tarp last December as belonging to a Kingman man.

The body was discovered on the morning of Dec. 4, 2022 morning by an individual who was out riding in the desert near Alamo and Boriana Mine roads.

MCSO said the corpse was wrapped in a tarp and piled underneath some debris. The deceased was recently identified as 50-year-old Brandon Ray Parlanti through genetic genealogical testing.

MCSO said back in December they had classified the case as a "suspected homicide."

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case. 

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
